Welcome to the World of Design at the Four Honey Bees Cottage

Interior design is an invitation that so many of us hesitate to accept, but with the right support, the dreams you have for your home and how you want to live can be a reality.

Even as "designers," we have faced challenges of creating environments for our families as they have grown and our needs have changed. Through the creative and collaborative process, however, the dream slowly transforms into reality.

We all desire a place of refuge, or peace and tranquility...a place called "home." Personal style is more important to this mission than anything else. Our job is to assist you in the seamless interpretation of your vision - your style.

We take helping you create your dreams very seriously. In fact, the Four Honey Bees Cottage is a reflection of our own personal tastes and style. Quarterly store resets can be daunting, but existing in an environment that feeds our passion for style and design is important to us, and we want the same for you.

So "let our hive be the source of artistry in your life!" The experience can be fun and truly inspiring.

2017 Decorators' Show House

The Buffalo News and the Junior League of Buffalo are pleased to announce that the August Feine House has been chosen as the location of the 2017 Decorators' Show House.  The architecturally historic home is located at 766 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, NY 14203.

The August Feine House is in the heart of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (BNMC).  The 7,800 square foot home was built by John Iribacher in 1888 and was purchased by Feine in 1906. Originally from Germany, Feine was an artisan and leader in the field of hand forged wrought iron work in the early 20th Century.  He specialized in ornamental iron latticework and examples of his talents are visible throughout the interior and exterior of this historic structure.

When the restoration of the house is complete, it will become the newest component of the Kevin Guest House (KGH), a four-building campus hosting patients and families traveling to Buffalo for medical care.  The additional of this house to the campus will double the number of guests KGH can host, provide handicap accessibility and will provide larger suites for families.

The Four Honey Bees Cottage was chosen to design the Master Bedroom! The inspiration and starting point of the room centers around the handpainted four-posted bed made in Italy. It personifies exactly what the Four Honey Bees Cottage is, a unique gem in a uniformed world. We combined our two favorite looks, French design and American classic with florals, plaids, and leathers which blend perfectly together. Since its opening 20 years ago, the store is known for its interior design expertise as well as being an authorized MacKenzie-Childs dealer. New owner, Anne Marie Biron, presents you with a fresh perspective for all styles.

2015 Decorators' Show House

The Edward H. Webster House is a 6600 square foot Arts and Crafts style home, circa 1907-08. Buffalo architects August Esenwein and James A. Johnson designed the home for Edward H. Webster. Webster was a Buffalo native, born February 13th, 1852. He and his father were partners in their coal business at a firm named E. Webster, Son & Co. The main house, site of the 2015 Decorators' Show House is located near the Albright Knox Art Gallery and overlooks the Rose garden at Delaware Park. A beautiful carriage house is located in the back of the meticulously kept property.
